WRITING THROUGH DIFFERENCE with KATE MEADOWS

This workshop will center on writing as a basic yet strong form of communication and discovery. Participants will explore how their collective roles and life experiences might contribute to constructive community outreach and conversation. Through tough questions, writing exercises and active listening, participants will learn to STAND (Share Truth. Act Nobly. Dare.)

 Kate Meadows holds an MFA in Professional Writing, with concentrations in creative nonfiction and journalism. Her work has appeared in Writer’s Digest, Writer’s Market, River Teeth, Chicken Soup for the Soul and Kansas City Parent, among other publications. Her thesis became her first book: Tough Love: A Wyoming Childhood was published by Wyoming’s Pronghorn Press in 2012. As an editor and writing coach, she works with a growing list of private clients on a variety of projects. In 2015, she launched a membership-based writing critique group, The Kansas City Writers’ Salon. She is a native of Wyoming. www.katemeadows.com
