A note from Catherine Anderson:
The purpose of the Poetry Reading Circle is to come together to read poets of interest to the group and share perspectives. I introduce a little background information on the poet's biography and approach to poetry. We take turns reading the poems and then share our ideas and perspectives in a relaxed atmosphere. Please feel free to bring any book or poem of the author we are discussing that you would like to share. Poets we choose are archived in the Poetry Foundation web site so that any one can have access to the poems.
We look forward to seeing you!
On April 18, from 7 to 9 pm, we will read B.H. Fairchild at the Writers' Place. Please read the description of his life and work at the Poetry Foundation link, and print out and bring to our group these poems: "Angels," "Early Occult Memory Systems of the Lower Midwest," and "Flight."
Poetry Reading Circles are free for members of The Writers Place; $5 for non-members.
