A note from Catherine Anderson:
The purpose of the Poetry Reading Circle is to come together to read poets of interest to the group and share perspectives. I introduce a little background information on the poet's biography and approach to poetry. We take turns reading the poems and then share our ideas and perspectives in a relaxed atmosphere. Please feel free to bring any book or poem of the author we are discussing that you would like to share. Poets we choose are archived in the Poetry Foundation web site so that any one can have access to the poems.
We look forward to seeing you!
Catherine has been hosting these Poetry Reading Circles on the third Monday of the month since October 2015. Members participate for no charge; non-members pay $5.
On March 21, from 7 to 9 pm at the Writers' Place, we will discuss Naomi Shihab Nye. You can read the Poetry Foundation's link below, and please print out and bring "3oo Goats," "Blood," and "Boy and Egg."
