We will experiment with different meditative methods and will alternate sessions of guided meditation and writing. Meditation will be used to inspire new ideas, but also to deepen the descriptions of our fictional or remembered characters, enrich dialogue, expand descriptions of fictional or remembered settings, and explore plot possibilities. Come experience about the benefits meditation will provide to your creativity and, ultimately, your mental health.
Note: Students are welcome to sit in chairs for meditation, but for a more authentic experience, bring a blanket and pillow or cushion. Wear comfortable clothes, and bring a journal and pen.
