The Writers Place presents writers Linda Rodriguez, Maril Crabtree and Sergio Troncoso reading from their work.
Linda Rodriguez's third novel in the Skeet Bannion series, Every Hidden Fear, was published by St. Martin's Press/Minotaur Books in May 2014. Librarian/reviewer Lesa Holstine said of it, "Linda Rodriguez's Skeet Bannion mysteries have become 'must-reads.' ...Rodriguez excels at developing characters that stand out." She also has written two books of poetry and won several prizes for her writing. Her second novel in the series, Every Broken Trust, was a selection of Las Comadres National Latino Book Club and is a finalist for both the International Latino Book Award and the Premio Aztlan Literary Award.
Maril Crabtree writes poetry, essays, and creative nonfiction and loves to dance with words. She is the author of three chapbooks, Dancing with Elvis, Moving On and, most recently, Tying the Light.
The son of Mexican immigrants, Sergio Troncoso was born in El Paso, Texas, and now lives in New York City. He graduated from Harvard College, and studied international relations and philosophy at Yale University. He won a Fulbright scholarship to Mexico, where he studied economics, politics, and literature. He is the author of five books including Crossing Borders: Personal Essays, and The Nature of Truth, a philosophical novel. His stories and essays have been widely published.
