Part Two: (October 4, 2 - 4 p.m.) Work shopping the essays. Participants bring copies of their work to read and receive constructive comments from facilitator and peers.
Open to all levels, good for beginners
Proficient in numerous genres—poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction—Diane Glancy is the author of many books. Her most recent essay collection, The Dream of a Broken Field, was published in 2011 by University of Nebraska Press. She has also written plays, screenplays, and has directed an independent film, The Dome of Heaven. She is professor emeritus at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. She is the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships and an American Book Award, among other awards. She was born in Kansas City where her father worked for the stockyards.
