Volunteer Acknowledgement

The Writers Place wishes to acknowledge all the volunteers who, over the last year, have contributed hundreds of hours to making the directory a reality.

First and foremost, we thank Mary Beth Gordon and Joan Langmack, who brought the concept for the directory to The Writers Place and then played a key role in implementing it.  We appreciate the considerable pro bono services contributed by several individuals, including D. G. (Jan) Phillips, who spent days researching funding sources and proofing, and Sandi Grimm and Diane Simpson Prigmore, who performed graphic design services.  We also owe a debt of gratitude to Ann Slegman – TWP President in 2006 -- and two TWP staff members – Will Leathem and Hampton Stevens – who provided ongoing support throughout this project.

Many other volunteers contributed time.  They sent emails, made phone calls, compiled lists, distributed flyers, proofread galleys and did whatever else they were asked with grace and good humor.  We thank them here.
